Welcome to Paisley Central School's web page!
Paisley is a JK to Grade 8 school with approximately 150 students situated in Paisley. At Paisley Central School, we believe that home, school and community are an integral part to the success of all of our students. Therefore, it is important that communication between home and school about your child's or children's progress be ongoing throughout the year. We welcome parents to contact teachers to set up appointments with them at any time should you have questions or concerns. We also believe in the development of each individual as a person and encourage students to demonstrate as many positive character traits as possible. We believe Paisley Central School provides an excellent learning environment where all students feel safe.

Principal’s Message In returning from March Break with such wonderfully warm weather, it would seem that summer was already upon us. However, although summer may seem to be just around the corner we have many things to accomplish before we leave in June. Lots of learning will take place between now and June and our grades 3 and 6 students will be involved in EQAO testing later in May. Several school trips have been planned this last term for swimming, excursions to the Grey Roots museum, the Outdoor Education Centre, Roots of Bruce etc. Several students in grades 6-8 are tremendously excited about their trip to Claresholm, Alberta later this month. Students and teachers have been corresponding with their exchange partners and finding that although there may be differences they have much in common. All are eager to meet their exchange partner and this will take place on April 23 when the group flies to Alberta. The Paisley Central School community has been incredibly supportive of the Alberta exchange and has demonstrated this support financially through generous donations by local service organizations – Paisley Legion Branch 295 Ladies Auxiliary, Paisley Legion Branch 295, Paisley and Area Kinsmen – as well through individual support of our students’ fundraising efforts. Thank you so much!
Thank you also goes out to the Paisley Agricultural Society for covering the cost of bussing as our grade 5 and 6 students go to the Roots of Bruce interactive agricultural demonstrations on April 13. These demonstrations highlight the many facets of farming that can be found throughout the Bruce County area.
On Saturday, March 31 several members of the community participated in a ‘scrap-athon’ in the school gymnasium. This group of people is committed to their craft and created amazing pieces that I am sure will be treasured for years to come. Many thanks go to Jennifer Harris from Key Lime Creations for organizing this event. Funds generated from this day are given back to the school in the form of a donation to our Breakfast for Learning Program. It is wonderful to live in a community that frequently and in so many ways demonstrates their support of youth activities and learning!
